This guy is the 'Party-tastic Iron Suit.' Me and my brothers came up with him while playing a holiday game of X Men Legends II (Age of Queen Dopplepopolis). Anyway, in that game, Iron Man is an unlockable character, and he says the dopiest things in this 'party guy' voice. Things like ,"I love this stuff," and, "That felt soo good." It's so hilariously not Iron Man, we decided that he must be someone similare looking yet different.

Iron Suit's signature entrance is to blow down the wall and hop into the room while saying "Wiggidee Wam Wam Wazzle".

Oh, and he wears a jean jacket because he still thinks people say they're cool. The jacket has 'Iron Suit' painted on the back.

This is the line work for a Defenders picture I am working on.

The Defenders pretty much put together the greatest Marvel heroes into one team, even though I can't really think of a good reason any of them would work together like that. I also can't think of a force that couldn't be stopped by the four of these heroes (besides Batman). Strength, Cunning, Power, Speed, Resources: they got it all.

For those of you wondering where Doc Strange's huge cape is, I decided to leave it out. The thing is just to big for the angle I was using.

Other problems: Namor's body is a little small, or his head is too big. Silver Surfer butt cheeks make be chuckle. About the only thing I am totally please with is Hulk.

I have always favored huge, gross hulk to calm, smart Hulk.

All and all, I am very pleased with how it turned out.

Robot Detective K

The more I continue to surf the internet, the more I believe I should have been born in the 70s Japan. They had all sorts of crazy TV shows. Take this guy for instants, Robot Detective K. He would tool around town in his flying car, called the Joker, and solve crimes. When needed, he would go into 'Blowup Mode' and his clothes would disappear and his eyes would turn red and all manner of lazer beams and missile rays would start flying out of his body.

Yeah, and check out that hat. The guy has the fashion sense of my twin brother.

King Car
King Car

Created By: Kyle Latino

By the year 2992, the democracy that used to rules the United States
had long since been revealed as the sham it was and was abandoned for
a more stable governmental model, namely Monarchy. There was a long
time of unrest in the transition, and when the dust had settled, the
Chinese had grabbed the West Coast, and the European Union has moved
in to control the East Coast under the guise of humanitarian and peace
keeping operations. The United States of American now only consisted
of the Mid West and Texas.

The first King of the US knew that his station as could not last if
he continued to rule as a "civilized and modern" leader, so he kept
all his governmental agencies and offices entirely mobile, creating
the first guerrilla government. The throne to the US itself was the
drivers seat in the most advanced and most heavily weaponized talking
car in existence, which came to be known as 'King Car'. The US's new
constitution, the Tera-Carta, states that "whosoever sits in the seat
of King Car shall be rightful ruler of the United States of America."

One fateful day, King Spit Hemlock, the third to sit in King Car, was
poisoned by a assassin from the EU Coast while taking a pit stop at a
Stucky's. Realizing his time was short he strangles the assassin and
hops into King Car to speed off the the nearest US citizen he could
find. As his consciousness starts to fade, King Hemlock plows into the
living room of college dropout, Scout McFate. Scout is told that if he
wishes to keep the lordship of King Car out of the hands of Rule
Master General Luise, he must become the next King of the US. King
Spit Hemlock then steps out of the car then dies and falls over,
crushing Scouts coffee table. King Car speaks and says, "The King has
stood up, long sit the King."

The newly crowned King McFate drives off to his best friends house
for some advice, taking with him his monkey, John Wilks Both. While he
is at his friends house, the EU attacks and the young king's friend is
killed. McFate escapes and eventually finds the Guerrilla Government's
Federal Convoy and asked them what to do. Speaker of the House, Nicole
Kickass, suggest a sting operation to lure the Rule Master General
Luise out and take care of him once and for all. She herself
accompanies the King and his monkey on this dangerous gambit.

In the end, King McFate harpoons Rule Master General Luise the face
of Mt. Rushmore, marries Nicole Kickass and continues to rule the
United States of America in King Car.

John Wilks Booth dies.

Hellboy

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I finished this one early and was too bored to wait to put it up tomorrow.

Hellboy is, in my opinion, the best comic that is written and drawn by the same man. Mike Mignola's style as an artist and hard work as a writer has tremendously impacted my artistic life. I will always envy his elegant abbreviation of detail while setting mood and shadow. But enough sucking up.

This one picture is slightly based from a friend of mine, whom I could easily see being Hellboy in a different world. In fact, when I read the comics, I always imagine HB having this guys voice, as opposed to whathisface from the movie.

Speaking about the work itself, those eyes in the background are probably monsters... yeah, monsters.

Gun-chucks

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Now here is a fellah I haven't drawn for an age and a half. It's a character from years and years ago. I thought of him when I went temporarily insane around hour 16 of our 18 hour car trip to New England. It was liberating to draw something like this on a pad with pencil. The Graphire3 is great for so many things, but it's hard to feel what you are doing. Only drawback to ding it in pencil is I have to go over it with something darker to make the line art of coloring quality, 'specially when it has lines in the back. Oh well.

This guy is is decked out in parachute pants, converse all-star shoes, Fonzy's leather jacket, and a ski mask. To do his mischief I decided to equip him with gun-chucks: the ultimate weapon. With enough training, you can switch from a frenzied duel-pistoled shoot out to Bruce Lee in the blink of an eye. And for anyone who is really picky, the magazines come out the back of the handle instead of the bottom. See, I thought of everything.

Mal

Captain of Serenity, Mal. If you've never bothered to see the show 'Firefly', bother. It's truly great. I just wish the movie would have done well enough to get the show up an going again. But maybe it's better in the long run that the show stopped when it did. So many great shows have run into the ground because they didn't know when to call it quits. Happy Days, Simpsons, M*A*S*H, um... Hang'n with Mr. Cooper.

Man In Black

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Check out the Man in Black. My hero and yours, Johny Cash! My friend let me barrow his copy of Cash's final album, the one that was released after he died. It is an awesome album. I really became connected with Cash through his later, more grizzled works, like 'Unchained'. And no, I did not jump on the band wagon because of the movie or the release of the song 'Hurt'.

After doing this picture, I was thinking that The Man in Black would be an awesome Super Hero. More like a Hanged Man kind of dude, from Astro City. The Man in Black would just show up and dispense with evil ghosts and spirits by playing guitar songs and releasing them to their final destination... Wow, I wish I could do that.
